Thirty minutes. Homemade cupcakes. Good company.

Intermission at Community Church Concerts has always been a good old-fashioned church bake sale. Come to think of it, so is the whole concert series.

At our very first show, back on June 3, 2000 — Uwe Kruger wrapped up the first set and told the room: 'After the next tune, we will take a little break… we will restock on the strawberry short cake.' Someone had put out a table of homemade treats and coffee, and the tradition stuck.

Twenty-five years later, homemade treats are still here. But alongside cookies and brownies, there's something new: a signature cupcake dreamed up by our baker, Tina Cochran, especially for each artist. A little tribute to their music, their story, or sometimes just a good pun.

Around here, feeding people is just how we say welcome.

Sierra Hull poses with her signature cupcake.

The music changes. The cupcakes keep coming.
